Pay rate: $34.62/hour

Summary/Objective:

The Associate I, IHC R&D functions with minimal supervision and guidance within the Reagent Research and Development Laboratory. The Associate I conducts product development activities on new recombinant antibody products for Immunohistochemistry (IHC) procedures within well-defined guidelines. The Associate I keeps abreast of current methodologies and developments within defined areas of research.

• Perform IHC testing in the development of new recombinant antibody products

• Assist in the closure of customer complaints and product investigation related to recombinant antibody products developed

• Perform all activities in accordance with established SOP's and directions from manager in a GMP and ISO regulated laboratory

• Document all activities according to established procedures

• Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot assays and identify areas for improvement

• Monitor equipment and instrumentation for compliance to corporate procedures

• Other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

• Experience in a laboratory environment, with an emphasis on high productivity and multi-tasking to progress on multiple projects simultaneously

• Hands-on experience in Histology, IHC and automated instrumentation

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks, while supporting fellow team members

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks, while supporting fellow team members

• Proofreading skills with good attention to details

• Thorough understanding of product development in an ISO environment

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology or a related field; or Associate Degree or High School Diploma, with training in Histology & IHC. Zero to five (0-5) years' Laboratory experience in the related field, or equivalent combination of
